I absolutely love your writing Jack. Cooking, mixed with nostalgia and a cheeky dash of your own, personal stories is a wonderful idea.

Super unique and refreshing to learn how to make decent cheese straws whilst being whisked (food pun intended) back to yesteryear.

Beautiful stuff, can’t wait to read more. And of course to get involved with cooking (and eating) this delicious food 🤤

Good work. You've still got it! I like your Substack handle and the concept of presenting vegetarian food as value added, instead of pro or con. Like most of us, I would like to find some recipes and bring some of that fare into my diet, so will be checking out your stories.

Thanks! People tend to think of being vegetarian as very black or white, but it’s actually a lot more nuanced than that. I’m glad you like my writing!
